DFI’s still very young U12 team started their new season last Sunday. In the home game against SG Schechen-Tattenhausen, they were able to distinguish themselves with good soccer for the first time this season. The Kurstädter started partly still without much experience in this for the younger kickers still new form of play in a larger field in that game. Nevertheless, they were able to integrate into their new team without much start-up time. In the first half, they dominated with relatively much possession and were also able to reward themselves early in the game. A good build-up play and beautiful combinations in the midfield they could already acquire in the past weeks from training and now also finally with in their game. Often lacked only the decisive conclusion or the last ball in the depth to come even more often in front of the opponent’s goal, but until then, the game of the DFI guys was characterized by a high ball security and good ideas with ball at the foot. In the second half it became a bit more hectic and the guests got better and better into the game. The boys from Schechen were also rewarded midway through the second half for a good reaction after the halftime break. The DFI boys became a little more impatient and imprecise in their own build-up play, but they were still able to free themselves a few times in the deep. Overall, especially for this still very young troop a great opening game, in which they already successfully implement some of the training and you could see their joy of playing on the field. All the nicer that they could reward themselves for it already in the first game with a 2:1 victory and thus have created a super basis for the next weeks and months of this newly formed team.
