Adem Podrimaj was nominated for the U-21 national team of Kosovo. The 19-year-old midfielder currently plays for Hannover 96 II and appeared in all 10 games this season.
In the summer of 2014, Adem Podrimaj was at our boarding school for a trial period. His roommate at the time was Flavius Daniliuc, now a professional in Serie A. Shortly after that he also moved into the boarding school, he was 11 years old at that time. Adi played the first years in the small field mostly on the 6 or as a center back and still always produced a bunch of goals/assists because he was strong at dribbling, had a very good shooting technique, and was a force to be reckoned with, especially at standards. He assumed the captain’s armband pretty quickly after he moved in because he’s always had exceptional leadership. He is a born leader.
Even as a little guy, Adi had a vibrant aura and was enormously charismatic. Always in a good mood, always positive, but also tremendously ambitious. He was enormously quick in his mind and had a strong drive to win, yet he always kept an eye out for his teammates and fellow men. For Mr. Dordowsky, Adi is one of the top 5 talents he has seen in his 9 years at DFI.
His impeccable character was evident even after he moved out in 2018. In a long letter, he thanked all departments, from the cleaning team to the coaches, from the kitchenstaff to the educators, from the administration to the executive floor.
In the big picture you can see him in the national dress. Currently, he is in a training camp for Kosovo in Antalya. The second picture shows him in the training camp of the U-21 national team of Kosovo. The picture in the TTE Arena was taken after winning the school district championship. Adi scored 3 goals in the 6:1 victory. With Luca Paulus, there is even a current boarding school student in the picture, as well as Younes Aitamer (FC Bayern II) and Basti Eckl (SpVgg Unterhaching U19). The selfie with Mr. Dordowsky was taken after a 4:0 win against Wacker Innsbruck. We wish you the best for the future Adi! 🍀🙌
